My philosophy about children and parenting
Children are special gifts to all of us, especially to the families who love them. They are our legacy to the world therefore I believe parents should be provided all the information, support and encouragement they need in order to do their best at parenting. I believe that children come into this world with two simple needs: to love and to be loved. I also believe that regardless of a person’s educational or economic level, their emotional or physical health, all parents love their children and want to give their children their best. The reality for many parents however is that they are unprepared for parenting and every day is a struggle. This often leads to difficulty in understanding the needs of children, resulting in unrealistic, inappropriate expectations and sometimes verbal and physical abuse.
How I can help
Parenting is the most important job any of us will ever do. You probably already know that it’s the hardest and most rewarding experience of a lifetime. However so many parents feel alone, isolated, unsupported and torn between their responsibilities and their children. We weren’t meant to raise our children in isolation yet the necessary help and support isn’t easy to find. Children deserve our best and in order to give them our best we need to actively seek out the necessary resources and support systems available.
